Playhouse Theatre, Glen Eden The historical Art Dec style Playhouse Theatre situated in Glen Eden, West Auckland is a performing arts venue that is available for hire by community, professional and corporate organisations. The Hourbourlight One of Christchurch's best entertainment venues which has consistantly has excellent performances and has featued many great performers including The Warratahs, Manic Opera and Paul Ubana Jones. The Harbour Light is housed in the old Harbour Light Theatre building, built in 1916 as a Cinema and Live Theatre. It ceased to be a cinema in 1982 and has in 1992 evolved into the Harbour Light Licensed Entertainment & Function Venue. The building is a striking old theatre from the outside, and although transformed on the inside, it still reflects it's past with.
